Rainbow Spiral Illusion

This is a tetrahedron jitterbug, its equilateral-triangle faces layered with coloured transparencies. As it expands and contracts through an over-constrained spatial rotation, the overlapping colour fields slide across one another — and a gorgeous illusory interference pattern blooms: phi spirals in full rainbow, zooming inward toward the centre and back out as the form turns.
