Fractal Cube
Polycarbonate sheets, SS rivets and rings, digitally designed transparent stickers.
This cube consists of 6 identical square faces. Each transparent face has 2 layers with checkered square grids. As the sculpture expands and contracts, a square animation called a moiré pattern is revealed through the rotation. Both the structure and the optical illusion have a period of 90 degrees. Hence it is a self-consistent, synchronous, and self-similar motion of just squares!
